                    Our Community

We believe in giving back. One of the ways Involvis does this is through the Community Fund. We donate 2% of all our revenue to this fund. Our clients then have the opportunity to apply for grants of up to £1,000 to empower the communities in which they work.

                    Recent grants

In February 2012 Involvis gave £1,000 to Hidden Histories: Swanley Young People’s Film and Heritage Project. The idea for the project came from the young people themselves who wanted to show Swanley in a better light. The young people were curious about the town’s shared history or white British and settled Gypsy/Traveller families and the influence of Gypsy/Traveller culture in Swanley.

The journey from the small idea to the big screen took several years and involved planning, research, interviews with local people, script writing, performance workshops and film-making. The young people even got to interview the Hart Dyke family at Lullingstone Castle. The years of work culminated in a film premiere attended by sponsors and local dignitaries hosted by the young people themselves. Photographs from the project are being exhibited at Swanley Library and Lullingstone Castle.

Involvis sponsored the West Kent Tenants Annual Golf Day in April 2012 to raise money for the West Kent Extra Starter Packs Project. The Starter Packs Project helps those who are trying to make a home from scratch, without the benefit of essential household items many of us take for granted, such as cutlery, crockery and bed linen.

They are aimed at those leaving care, fleeing domestic abuse, or have been homeless and lack the financial means to buy everything they need. Starter Packs are given free of charge to those in need via agencies who work with vulnerable people in financial need.
